My apologies to Fr. Mathew Bun and Sr. Flora. I reported that Fr. Joseph and Sr. Fiona had assisted Fr. Ravi Michael with the Chinese speaking and the Bahasa speaking RESPECTIVELY during the Election weekend. It should be Fr. Mathew Bun and Sr. Fiona.

17 TH MELAKA JOHOR DIOCESE TAMIL CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC RALLY 2008

The annual Tamil Catholic Charismatic Rally which was held on the 7 th June ‘ 08 at Dewan St Peter, Melaka from 8.30 am till 5.00pm.About 800 participants attended the Rally. This Rally was officially declared started by the Parish Priest of Church of St Peter , Rev Fr Moses Lui. In his Opening address he stressed on knowing meaning of “the Word of God & the Fruits of the Holy Spirit.” Organising Chairman Mr. Arumaidass in his Opening address welcomed all the participants & the Speakers of the day.

Rev Fr. M. Devadasan in his 1st talk spoke on the Obeying God's Word. He portrayed how Mother Mary obeyed God's Word. He said that we too need to obey, pray for one another & live with God's WORD. Mr. Anthony Raja from Church of Christ the King, Sungai Petani in the 2 nd talk spoke on “Encountering Christ through the Word”. (John 1: 1-4). He shared his personal testimony on how he encountered Christ, in his talk. “Transformation by Christ the Word” (Mk 9: 2-13) was the 3 rd talk shared by Mr. Sebastian Pillai, from the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Penang . He shared on how we as the members in the renewal need to change, accept burdens & to work with the fellow members. He said that it is through this that transformation takes place. “It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me” (Gal 2:20).

In the afternoon, a short drama on the Word of God was performed by the youths from the Church of St Francis Xavier . After the drama, Fr Deva led the participants into a time of adoration before exposing the Blessed Sacrament and moving among the crowed. The Rally ended with the Eucharistic Celebration by Fr Deva , who also took the opportunity to thank everyone present.
